World’s first saw grinding wheel to incorporate four different grit sizes
New diamond grinding wheel from Eagle International offers four grit sequences to provide the ultimate in material removal rates and mirror finish. Available for Vollmer, Akemat, UT.MA, Walter, and Wright top grinders in diameters from 5" to 8" (125-200mm). Users have reported 3X more life compared to their old dual or triple grit wheels at a price that’s only about 50% more.

Eagle’s new premium QUAD GRIT wheels offer the following features:

• Ideal for production or resharpening
• More efficient than a dual or triple grit wheel
• Works in both oil and synthetic coolants
 • Grinds carbide and steel combinations
• Provides the ultimate mirror finish –
  no grind marks and a super sharp edge
• Manufactured to strict ISO 9002 quality requirements
 

Compared to a triple grit wheel, the new QUAD GRIT offers higher material removal rates and a finer finish. By adding a 4th grit, Eagle is able to (1) use a coarser initial grit to maximize material removal, and (2) allow closer sequencing between grit sizes to ensure all grinding marks are removed.

Grit #1: Extra coarse grit for maximum material removal
Grit #2: Medium coarse grit grinds out marks left by 1st grit
Grit #3: Fine grit grinds out marks left by 2nd grit
Grit #4: Extra fine grit leaves a mirror finish and super sharp edge
