STB and knife grades. All STB's are DuraBraze braze treated as standard and at no extra cost (just like saw tips) for trouble free and consistent results.

RK01 S (This grade comparable to industry C4) Like the saw tip grade of the same name, RK01S is one of the hardest micrograin carbides than can be used in brazed tooling. The properties of this grade that make it last so long in particle board and other man made materials also give a sharper cutting edge for improved finish and long life. The DuraBraze treatment ensures trouble free brazing.

EZ10S (Special C3) For those more demanding profiles where heat and grinding stress won't allow the use of our hardest STB grade, try using EZ10S. Its different formulation ensures a very sharp cutting edge for man-made materials as well as normal natural woods. Brazing is made easier thanks to the standard DuraBraze finish.
RK10 (This grade comparable to industry C3) Like the popular saw tip grade, RK10 is a braze treated STB carbide grade that spans the performance gap between the more temperamental C4 grades and higher impact grades. Good performance in all but the most abrasive applications makes this a great choice. Braze treated, of course.
RC6 (Special C2) Without a doubt the best STB grade in the business. The special recipe has had competitors scratching their heads for years. This is the grade that was dubbed "rubber carbide." It actually bounces if you drop it (not recommended) on a concrete floor. This grade can be brazed and ground into the most complex shapes and geometries imaginable and its performance when cutting natural woods is fantastic. All round, RC6 is the tool maker's dream. All RC6 STB's are DuraBraze treated as standard.
EZ45 (Special Order) Great new grade for wear parts needing impact resistance and yet maintaining some good wearability.
Eagaloy This incredible metal is available exclusively from Eagle. Its performance in solid woods, whether kiln-dried or green is unbelievable. It can be brazed and ground just like it was high speed steel and it will make an edge like a razor... but it will outrun carbide 5 to 1 in red oak and other like species. Eagaloy is currently available in profile knives, STB bars, saw tips, and centerless ground rod as standard.

In these days of litigation and product liability, you wouldn't dream of brazing a saw tip without braze treatment. So why should you have to braze other blanks without the same protection?
